Big Shiny Asset Update Vol.1

Well here we are 9 days after my first ever playable demo went live. I've learned quite a lot in that time. Especially about the degree of quality control that a developer needs to put in before uploading their game for the world to see lol Luckily I've learned my lesson about quadruple checking that all the right files are where they need to be before deploying the project so the demo runs without all of those pesky missing file errors. Anyway onto the topic at hand.

The Big Shiny Asset Update Vol.1 does what it says on the tin. I've added 16 new NPC portraits to replace several of the temporary portraits in use in the previous version of the demo to make chatting with the locals a little more interesting. Behind the scenes I've also reworked the battle system quite a bit to allow for battler sprites for the 2 player characters available in the demo to appear in front view battles (they're actually side view but the power of plugins creates a dandy illusion). So not only can you now see Ren & Coyle in action but thanks to the addition of battle animation assets to my library you can watch them take hits and dish them out too! Neat!

Things to expect in the next update: 8 more NPC portraits, 2-3 battle backgrounds, a new section of the Slums to explore and the morning after Ren's second night on the job! Look forward to it sometime in the coming weeks!

Change Log:

-added 16 NPC portraits

-added battle animations for: basic attack, Flashing Strikes, Stink Bomb & enemy attacks: Left Hook & Feed

-switched to side view battles with re-positioned SV_Actor sprites

-added 2 Ren & 1 Coyle battler sprites

-used SRD HUD Maker to alter battle HUD to be under player character sprites

-tweaked some dialog and added in Book SE for all readable books in Temple

-tidied up demo folders (a lot of SE had to go and then several had to be put back in...fun times were not had)
